It’s funny, the little things that make you realize that you’re working to make a space your home.

You’d think that the week and several days I’ve spent in Boston would provide a myriad of indicators: getting off of my neighborhood T stop and walking the short distance to my apartment, finding the closest grocery store and Dunkies, walking to Fenway (!!!!), jogging on city blocks, testing out the local Chinese food take-out and whatnot. And you’d be right, of course – each hammered home a little more the reality of my location.

But it was yesterday evening, walking around Target, that confirmed it for me. I was buying a shower curtain for my bathroom and I realized, “I’m personalizing a space here! My apartment! In Boston!”

Yup, that’s right. Dork, right here.
