There was much to enjoy during the finale to The Sing-Off last night. A Boyz II Men medley that made me try to find my copies (because yes, I had two!) of II. Ben Folds being his typically sensational self. Fun music and feel good times!
And yet it was Nick Lachey who prompted the text message to end all text messages.
Watching Nick Lachey sing on The Sing-Off reminded me that he really is the most underrated singer of our generation.
To tell you the truth, I was quite surprised by Nicole Sherberthagartzineggar. She kinda held it together.
I got totally lost on the B2M medley, I think they were just past my time.
Ben Folds is cute as all get-out. Though I wanted him to do “Cologne” with the ‘Bubs. I would have plotzed.
Natasha Bedingfield: needs to quit the vocal gymnastics and pay attention to the fucking tempo. No wonder she got lost and had to vamp. Nice voice, though.
Nick Lachey: no comment.
I see Nicole Whatshername and instantly alarms start going off inside my head. ALERT! ALERT! WASTE OF FLESH! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
B2M is really missing Michael as the bass (and my favorite member, but that’s neither here nor there). The medley demonstrated just how much he provided, but it still made me smile. I loved them so much.
If that BF/BB collaboration had happened, I might have keeled over from shock and utter joy.
Have you seen his Pops collaboration on “Cologne?” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pTn1r-dFkg
I’ve seen it, and it makes me cry; but the original video is so weird…okay, just watch it:
And that’s the moment I decided I wanted to be the Cologne Cat for Halloween…
So bizarre. Was he on codeine again when coming up with the video idea?
